For as long as one can remember, employers have been misclassifying employees and calling them independent contractors to save money on taxes and overtime. But, the game is coming to an end and you need to make sure that all of your workers are properly classified. Both at the state and federal levels, legislation is pending to curb the abuse of misclassifying employees.
