There is a strong movement in Washington right now to "Empower Employees."  In a series of proposed and enacted regulations, federal agencies are giving more rights to employees and restricting employers' opportunities to effectively deal with difficult employment circumstances.

The NLRB, which regulates non-union companies as well, is attempting to give rights to your employees to utilize your company's email systems and other social media to speak out against the company and, among other things, to cause it to be organized by labor unions.  Disenchanted employees are campaigning against their bosses by effectively utilizing the broadening social media causing embarrassment to their companies and their management. Can this be stopped?  Employers must walk a very narrow line between protecting their interests and encroaching upon the new found rights of their employees to speak out about compensation and working conditions.  Each employer needs to understand the social media threat and be prepared to effectively deal with it within the confines of the law.  Learn what you need to do now to protect your company.  As an extra bonus, the most recent developments in state and federal employment issues will be presented.
